I'm writing this post from the local library right now, as I have twenty minutes left, am all checked out and am bored. The fair sucked the first time we went. There were three stupid, impossible games and a couple food stands, and the rest of the space was stuffed full of inflatables for six year olds. There was, of course, also a pony ride, but like I'd go on there just to get hives or whatever I'd come out of that crap with. We realized we were starving so we drove to a Mexican restaurant, arguing all the way. Me and my dad were, anyway. After we ate, though, everything seemed to get a little better. Dad started joking around and I sur fe3lt a lot better. We went back to the fair and I could listen to the cool, LOUD music and laugh at the people signing up for the hot dog eating contest. You know, it's not at all like what you see on TV? The challenge is to see how many hot dogs you can eat in ten minutes, not how FAST you can eat a hundred hot dogs. So it was actually pretty boring, so we went home soon. But it was still way better. (The winner was 6 and a half hot dogs. Dad said it was weak but didn't want to sign up because they were all college kids and he didn't want to embarrass them when he kicked their butts.) So we went home and hung out for a while, popped some poppers and tested out a couple smoke bombs. The dog was spazzing, whch was adorable, and the fireworks, both the third AND fourth, were absolutely amazing.
I went to see the proposal with Demyx and Pence, as you may know, and it was great! Funny from beginning to end, and I thought it would be predicatble but it wasn't at all!!! You'll just LOVE Gammy, she was the best part of the movie, I think. Althought they made a really cute couple. HE is seriously cute. But it was funny, it was sweet, ended as all romantic comedies do, but at least it didn't show her pregnant. That would have been too much. So, basically, it was perfect! Afterward Pence and Demyx and I went home, hung out in my room, swung in my backyard, went walking on the trails, and went FISHING!!!! we caught six altogether, I think. It was an amazing day for it. I haven't been fishing with my dad in, like, FOREVER. I should ask to go sometime soon.
I was thinking last night about how I promised my friend I would try to go to church more often. Whoops.
I think I have insomnia. This always seems to happen around this time in summer, like Annual Insomnia. Maybe it's because I'm weird. I fall alseep BETTER when I have a ton of stuff to think about, not the other way around, so I guess school is stressful enough for me to be able to sleep better. Still, I'm going to be keeping a little sleep journal and looking over it in a week to see what I did on days I slept better. Maybe that'll help me turn it around.
I've gotta check and see if Dad's waiting out in the parking lot. TTYL!!
