DANGGIT!!!

Rawr =(
so the fact is, i looked into some cosplay stuff. That's right, I DID. And there was this wig that totally outplayed all the others, so i knew it was going to b
e expensive, but COME ON, people!!!! I was kinda hoping on this one:

because the rest are just... blah. So I sent the maker an email (The address was on her site, which is on the side of the pic)sayin hey, I'm a cosplayer, I like this, do you sell it, how much, yadda yadda.... and here is what I got back:

Hello!

Sorry about the delay--we've been really bogged down by many requests of the Christmas season. That is definitely one of the wigs we make, and due to the complexity of the spiking and trimming process it goes for about $175 which does include a wig cap and a wig head, and is $25 for Priority and $15 for ground. The wig head is for purposes of transportation and for storage--I could certainly try sending the wig without a head, which would make the shipping $5-$10 cheaper and the wig $170, but I cannot guarantee what condition it would arrive in. Hope this answers your questions a bit, and if you have any more feel free to ask. ^.^

-Name that I will not give you for certain purposes.

So that was really nice, yes, but AAAARRRGHGHG!!!!!! I thought this would be a little easier. Not, you know, buy it get it wear it make a million dollars easy, but I thought it would maybe be cheaper, simpler to ship, things like that. And of course I only expect to lose money to this, not make any, but what is the problem with that when I can have so much fun with my friends??
I just wish it could be more accepted. By my parents, by my sisters, ALL my family. I'm certain that everyone else thinks I've gone a bit strange. But I'm happier than ever with this. Dad can accept this, and he's proven it, but... I have a nasty feeling it's not going to be that easy with anyone else. Andrea's getting her Demyx wig sometimes after Christmas. And her mother will help pay for it, because she SUPPORTS her. *Sigh*.
This should be an entry in You Wish.
Don't I wish?

So, this month I.......

-Saw Julie and Julia
-went to a mini-con
-Met my future husband *sarcasm*
-Planned for Christmas
-Began some projects.

Julie and Julia was one of the cutest movies I have ever seen. While the story in truth was rather boring to begin with, they managed to make it interesting with fun, bright characters, a great script, and all-in-all fantastic acting. It's the story of two Julies: One a cheerful famed chef in Paris, and the other fifty years in the future, working a dead-end job and feeling something lacking in life. While the first is working against the odds to publish a cookbook and become the first cooking show host on television, the second is working against the odds to cook her way through the first Julia's cookbook in a year- five hundred and so many recipes in only 365 days. And she would write a blog about it, entering daily the recipes she had cooked, how many left to go, her progress in general, and some tidbits about her life that are connected to the cooking experiment. Sounds boring, correct? But no. Incorporating humor and a surprising effect of romance, you can really and truly delve into the characters without getting too deeply emotional to skip over all the fun with lobsters and Julia Child being the only woman, and a loud, bustling, cheerful one at that, in her field. It's an adorable movie, and I think you'll have fun watching the Julias work towards their dreams.

The local library held a mini-convention a week or two ago, and my friends and I were, of course, ECSTATIC. We all dressed up in simple, homemade cosplays, Pokemon, and went down. Mine was least conspicuous, kind of just color coded green for Leafeon, since I still had my folks to convince. Emily's mom is easygoing, so she bought a few materials. Andrea's mom is totally acceptant of this by now and helped her make her entire costume by hand, which was pretty amazing. There were so many people we didn't know were into anime and manga at the con, and we made lots of new buddies that I'm planning to look up and get into contact with again soon. that's one thing about conventions. They're not just nerds sitting in circles laughing because a robot got punched in the face; they're people having fun talking about interesting things that American shows don't even cover. They help people ion creative and imaginative thinking, and they also help make permanent connections. No doctor soap opera can introduce me to another Namine cosplayer like me. No way. So Namine and I were BFFs through the evening, and she is one of the others I'm looking up. e also made friends with the leader of a special manga fangroup at a different local high school, and she was fantastic. Everyone was really friendly and most all of them hilarious, as is the norm at conventions. People there are just amazing. It's too bad other people can't understand that, but hey, it's their loss. So she and i played DDR, we made candy and laughed and joked around and ate, we made a couple skits and had this huge dance contest with the biggest anime theme song in the history of fangirlism. We also had someone come in and talk to us about cosplaying, which really got us all thinking. Andrea and Emily won an award for their cosplays, as did the high school group leader and her group; they all dressed from the same anime, and everyone knows a cosplay will be stronger among a group. And the night was a roaring success =)

So I met an awesome dude at school =) his name is not to be discussed, and nor should it ever be unless necessary (Meaning unless in ten years I move in with him and we get a cat and/or child). He's in plenty of classes and we have a lot of fun together people get to nagging us about dating, which they KNOW I don't do, but they ignore me and so I will ignore them. For now. But anyway, we have a blast together. Two issues: I am defying girl code, as this guy is a friend's ex. But they're good now, so I suppose this law is moot. Still, it can be awkward, since the girl is so dang SENSITIVE to EVERYTHING! But I rest my case here. Second issue: we're running low on things to talk about. We're fine when there's something current we have in common, like a project or an opinion in common, but we can only go so far with that and after the conversations are over there is never another picked up immediately; only awkward silences follow, and then we start up a completely random subject that will die in only a few words. Luckily, we're usually saved by one excuse or another. But what happens when we don't get saved? What happens when we're stuck together ad he realizes what an utterly dull person I really am?
But whatever. I'm going to try not to care =) let's just let it go as it goes, huh?
Yeah. Right.

Christmas began around the same time it always does in our house, which is just a week or two after Thanksgiving. First we put the decorations up. A few snowmen here and there, a wreath on the door, BAM, we're Christmafied (Wow I'm such a dork). Then comes the tree. Everyone pulls out old ornaments and exclaims over them and tries to remember any special little tidbit about each one, which is the only reason why the process takes so long. For the first half it's usually just arguing, but after a while the mood really sets in and we get comfortable. After that it's pretty fun as we tell stories about each ornament and push each other around and sing along with the mix Christmas CDs my mom makes. So that's always fun. Then comes the shopping, which is always a pain to me. UNTIL, of course, I find the perfect gift. Maybe it's just the nerd in me, but i get a sort of a rush in finding a great present for someone, knowing they'll like it, and I get excited as I imagine handing it to them and watching them open it. It's so stupid, I know, but I love it. It's one of the many reasons why this is my favorite holiday. So I got all the presents and they were just wrapped today. Well, they have been BEING wrapped for quite some time now, I just do them all over the course of a week or so, however long. So I finished today with my mom's, which i think is a pretty good one. the best ones, however, would be my dad's a little sister's presents. Those are the best. the others are pretty great, too, though! =)
Then comes the Christmas cookies, though those are yet to come!!!!!!

So we're planning. One, my friends and I are planning cosplays. We still haven't really gotten too deeply into it, but we have given it some more thought than before since the library's mini- con. Two, my family and I are planning to FINALLY finish the finishing of our basement. It's going to be pretty dang cool, and I am generally excited.

That's all I've got for you for now, I'll try and write more often, because things are FINALLY getting a little more exciting around here =)
For now, ttyl!!!!

Wickedly bored (LOL, pun, went to see the ever-awesome wWcked

Best friends..... I just think this pictures is amazing. Completely captures the concept of togetherness, however old or young or different you may be. Whatever the time or situation, your friends are there to offer their shoulders, come with you and comfort you whatever the cost. My mood has just been broken by my mother telling me it's time for chores, and I lost what I was about to say. Dang.
But I wanted to thank my friends. I love you.

Recently....

Things have been taking that same old downward turn that comes at this period every year. I start realizing that my life hasn't changed a bit since.... FOREVER. Nothing can really happen in middle school, you know? I can't wait to get out of here. Then again, high school maybe the same, since all the excitement is usually just drama and my friends and I usually try to avoid the whole... DRAMADRAMADRAMADRAMA thing. So then, college. But then that's a quarter of my life right there, just a chunk cut out, just nothing. I don't want a quarter of my life to be nothing, I was close to ALL of it to be something. So I need a hobby, a club, a project, a sport, a job, a something, an ANYTHING! I just need help. i need serious help.
Maybe I'll start working on my movies and cosplays more professionally. First I need a GOOD camera and some money for the costumes; but I guess as long as I'm working toward something, I'm something-ing. so it's good. and when I get there, I'll have a lot of work to do.
I guess I have to get started. The problem is..... where?

SOOONGS!!!!!

News song reviews by me, suckish or otherwise, because I'm bored and don't feel like doing my homework =)

Fireflies- Owl City

At first i didn't like this song. The whole techno thing is really not my style. But when a few girls threatened to throw a machete at my face I decided to give it a closer listen.
A+!!! I love this song, mainly for the beautiful lyrics. They're rather simple, but in a pretty way, and they're so smooth. It seems to literally BE my SONG. It's... hard to explain. But I give it a thumbs up, if only fo rthe lyrics, as the music is pretty basic and the video makes not much sense at all.
But if you liked fireflies, check out another Owl City song I LOVE: Vanilla Twilight <3

She Wolf- Shakira

Okay, aside from the disgusting music video and her inability to dance, this song is actually pretty good. It's got a fun beat and it's good to dance to, and I like the twist she put on the music. It's the meaning of the song I have a problem with.....
B

Run Away- Love and Theft

Now this song? THIS song is MY song. I love it!!! it's perfect in pretty much everything, though I haven't seen the video yet. His voice is beautiful and the lyrics are meaningful and the music is provoking. Not to mention it's just AWESOME.
A++!!!!!!!

Party In the USA- I cannot type her name

Disgusting. To quote Jordan: "Party in my pants all day," this song is just.... blah. I admit it probably would have gotten a higher grade if it were NOT by you-know-who, but it seems like she wants to make it required by law that half the teens in America would die for her, and the other half would kill her themselves. i believe that is her goal. And I believe that it should be illegal for her to sing in most parts of the country.
F

Go there. Right now.
