TAYLOR SWIFT: You Belong With Me
The music is pretty and her singing is amazing, with all the different pitches she has to keep up with. Then there's the music video, which is keeping up with the song so well. Cheerleaders are a bit over-sterotyped or whatever you wanna call it, though. I'm not saying that there aren't cheerleaders like that, there ARE, but there are also girls in the marching bands like that. It's way overplayed, the 'love-deprived nerd triumphs over evil cheerleader' thing.I'm just saying. Other than that, it was aWESOME. oh, and I LOVED the idea of putting Taylor in the brown wig for the cheerleader, that was great!!!! I think she's a better blonde, though. Good job, Taylor!
MILEY CYRUS: The Climb
AFTER I finally get over the fact that it's Miley singing it, this song is okay. I'd much rather Taylor or smeone sing it, but oh well. The writing is good and the music is fantastic. It's just annoying how Disney goes out of their way to shove in the moral lessons in every single show, movie, short, and song. I KNOW that junk food is bad, I KNOW that friends aren't worth fighting boys over, I KNOW that peace and kindness is the best way to resolve issues, and I KNOW that you don't go into a stranger's car when they ask you to pet their puppy.
3OH3: Don't Trust Me
Wow. If only jerks like them wouldn't lower themselves to this perverted crap, maybe they could DO something with their voices to further their careers, not further a six year old's (Specifically my SISTER'S) sexual education.
LADY GAGA: Poker Face
Though I think it's a bit unoriginal when it comes to the techno beat and all, they really were able to twist it in their own way so it sounds great. Her voice is just right for the techno, anyway. Singing, yeah, definitely, but speaking the song in that jaunty sort of way is good for hers. Other than that you have the actual lyrics, which for some odd reason I love.
I've ended on a good note. I would do more, but I'm tired and have an early morning. So much for summer vacation, huh?
